A&A C7 Corvette Ram Air Intercooler
We’re taking air from the high pressure radiator cavity and forcing it through the intercooler and out into the low pressure area under the car. Looking through the grille, you’ll only see the scoop protruding into the airflow.
When designing the C7 system and intercooler back in 2013, we had to come up with a new approach. GM did a great job sealing up the radiator cavity and forcing air into the radiator. We wanted to have minimal impact on that.
We came up with a flat mounted approach that had a scoop that only protrudes into the radiator cavity by about 2 ½”. The back of the scoop is sloped down to the bottom of the radiator so as not to block airflow.
We’re taking air from the high pressure radiator cavity and forcing it through the intercooler and out into the low pressure area under the car. Once again, A&A put a lot of time and effort into making the most efficient setup for both engine cooling as well as charge air cooling.
